Crazy November Happenings

Thanksgiving feast at our house for Cole's co-op mommy preschool.

Dancing C.J and Lou. He had just hooked up the computer and was blasting tunes!

Lora and Cole were helping with the groceries. Lora decided cracking eggs was really fun. I think she is a bigger mess maker than any of our boys have been.

The boys swinging on the rope swing. You can see our new Yukon and our house in the background.

Sam, Josh, Nathan and Lora playing at the creek that borders our property.

Spencer loosing his drawers (he had pooped in his onesie earlier).

Cole, Nathan and Lora having fun together after church.

Lora turns 2! She got to wear the princess dress from Kimber's wedding.

Here are a few highlights from this crazy month. I still haven't figured out all the details of blogging but decided if I didn't put these on I never would so here it goes. The end of Oct. just after having Spencer we closed on a new home. We fell in love with the land and the house needs a little work. We had some done before we moved in but still have a lot to go. You will see in the pictures bare sub floor and no counter tops etc. We are enjoying it even with the moving mess. We also purchase a new - used car. Yea, we can now all go together somewhere - legally (what a bonus)! Life is good!

Baby Spencer is here! Family of eight is great!

This blog is just a quick update and info about our new sweet little boy. He surprised us all by coming three weeks early. I had grand plans this week to get all in order but was shocked Sunday night as our neighbors left after dinner with a suspicious twinge. I told C.J. I just had a contraction that was a painful kind - different than the typical. Anyway, the middle of the night I was quickly finishing dinner dishes, packing bags, climbing shelves in the garage to get baby clothes down, waking my amazed hubby up and calling a friend to come over. I am really good at going into labor in the middle of the night. Little buddy was born at 6:11 am. His heartrate kept dropping as I would have contractions and as he came out we realized why. His umbilical cord was twisted like a tight rope. He had not been getting much nourishment. The doctor said it was a huge blessing he came when he did or he could have been in big trouble. He is tiny but feisty and healthy. He is 5lbs and 8oz. and 19 inches long. His head is only 11 3/4 inches (that's two inches smaller than some of my kids - it makes a big difference on delivery and recovery!) We are all sleep deprived but doing great. The older boys and Lora can't get enough of him. C.J. and I were whooped from the beginning and I can't imagine life without him already. I am grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who knew and took care of our sweet baby.
